My practice at Fitzwater Law focuses on guardianships, conservatorships and probate. I enjoy listening and advising on sensitive matters and guiding clients to find the best path through pivotal moments in life. I thrive on providing a high level of client service in order to create clear documents and positive outcomes.

 

Before practicing in estate and elder law, I spent twelve years working in indigent criminal defense. Direct advocacy and client-centered advising developed my love for working with people in crisis and transition. In my previous practice, careful, clear writing assisted with good results. Working on complex criminal justice cases also developed my appreciation for long-term client relationships. For me, attentive listening and attention to detail are key elements in creating strong solutions in very difficult situations.

 

Originally from the Bay Area, I settled in Oregon in 2010. I received my B.A. in religion at Reed College, and I received my J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2008. I am a member of the Oregon and New York bars, and I am a retired member of the Massachusetts bar.

 

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my family, swimming in lakes, and practicing martial arts.
